Porsche Sportscar Together Day

Porsche Centre Kelowna invited BCIR to Sportscar Together Day which was a coast to coast celebratation. The first car bearing the Porsche name was registered on June 8, 1948. In 2018, 70 years later, this prompted Porsche to launch the first sports car celebration. The members were treated to a pancake breakfast and a chance to mingle and talk about their favorite brand.

Drive to Seven Stones Winery

Although there are still forest fires in the area, it was a perfect day for BCIR members to enjoy the rescheduled visit to Seven Stones Winery in Cawston. There was a stop at Yellow Lake rest area before touring the winery. Seven Stones Winery is known for having 3500 square feet of underground caves for the wine to age and to hold public functions.

Big thank you to Dave for setting up the event and for leading the tour!

Okanagan Dream Rally

The Okanagan Dream Rally is truly like no other event. It provides incredible experiences for the kids and this year raised 1.7 million for the Ronald McDonald House and the KGH Foundation. The city even shuts down the extremely busy Kelowna bridge so all the cars could cross at the same time. There is a police escort down to the Penticton Airport for a lunch and where kids got to go inside a private jet. There is also an amazing afterparty with bands and live auctions on the shore of the Okanagan Lake.
Many members of BCIR either entered to be in the Rally or was on hand at the beginning. Thank you to the August Foundation for putting on such an amazing event!
Inspire. Change a Life. Repeat.

Farmstrong Cidery Meetup

Sunday was a perfect drive to Farmstrong Cidery Company in Armstrong. There were 12 cars from the Kelowna area that took twisty Westside Road and met up with the Kamloops members. There was even a car that traveled from Golden to join us for the event! We all enjoyed an incredible lunch and great conversation. Thank you to Dave in Kamloops for setting it up.
