Big White Drive

AUGUST 11th UPDATE: We’ve found parking arrangements for more cars, so registration is re-opened!

We will meet at 0830 at the Ball Diamond parking lot at the top of KLO Road.  Where the road veers right into McCullough near the store/community hall (stop sign) we stay leftish.   The entrance to the Ball Diamond will be on your right.

After being greeted by the Loose Moose and taking some photos, we will turn right out of the Ball Diamond and follow East Kelowna Road to Hollywood Road, where we bear right and keep going, bearing right at the top of the hill.  At the next junction, keep right (follow the arrow towards the Belgo Wedding Chapel). We will follow the back roads via Garner, Kloppenburg (right turn) and Loseth Road (left turn at the stop sign).  We will regroup on Loseth, just before taking a right turn onto Highway 33.   Follow the road to the Big White signed left turn.  Big White Road has twists, turns and hairpins that will take us to the Village Centre Mall under the clock tower on the right.  Parking will be arranged.

The drive over the Highway 33 is quite short, scenic and quiet, with more emphasis on handling than speed.  Watch for bicycles.  Highway 33 has a 60 kph speed limit for the first stretch, then it changes to 100 kph.  Big White Road has posted speed limits, mostly 80 kph.

Road repairs are being done and there should be nothing that a Porsche can’t handle.
