Thank you to all the BCIR members that contributed to this year’s BCIR Fill a Frunk!! They brought food items and money for the Central Okanagan Food Bank. Also a thank you to Sarah from the Food Bank for coming in on a Sunday to collect the donations.
Despite the thick smoke from the out of control forest fires in the US, BCIR members still came out to support Cars and Coffee plus our annual Fill a Frunk.
Good turnout for the all day tour to Lillooet. It was an early morning start with a stop at Highland Valley Copper Mine. Twisty turns all day long. We then gassed up in Ashcroft and continued to Fort Berens Estate Winery for lunch.
BCIR hosted the 1st Annual (socially distanced) BBQ at Bertram Park in Kelowna. A good turnout and we moved under the gazebo just before it started to rain. We also had an unexpected big eared guest.
Eight cars braved the hot 30+ degree weather yesterday before heading out on a drive to Pritchard and Monte Creek Winery.
Nice comment from a member joining in from CWR… “Thank you for having us join in on your meet and drive. You were fabulous hosts. Extra thank you to Dave for the scenic drive and wonderful lunch. Invitation is extended to come join one of our events 😊”
Next C&C on September 20th followed by Fill a Frunk where we collect food and money for the Kamloops Food Bank.
Great turnout with over 20 Porsches at Kelowna’s Cars and Coffee! Good to see so many members and possibly signed up a couple of new ones.
Next Cars and Coffee on September 13th will also be our Annual Fill a Frunk where we donate money and food to the Central Okanagan Community Food Bank. See you there!
After Cars and Coffee, 19 cars took to the road and we weaved our way through the twisty back roads to Armstrong. Final destination was Farmstrong Cider Company where we corralled the cars and enjoyed a delicious lunch. Luckily the hardest rain fell while we were eating… under cover!
The weather was favourable for the members get together. Ten cars showed up… one from Merritt and one from Logan Lake. Afterward was a drive up to Sun Peaks Resort for lunch.
The new Pioneer Park location proved to work out well as it’s more accessible for the public to come and check out the Porsches.
Fun day yesterday when the Kelowna BCIR members met up with the Kamloops members for a drive up to Tunkwa Lake. The scenery was beautiful and the roads were twisty. We came out at the picturesque Tobiano Golf Course and had lunch before continuing on the drive to Spences Bridge.
