BCIR was honoured to win the 2017 Greatest Factored Growth award at the national PCA Parade event held in Spokane Washington. It was awarded to the club that added the greatest percentage of members in a calendar year. Out of the 144 local regions across US and Canada, BCIR was first.
Brad Pape, president of BCIR, accepted the award on behalf of the club.
Parade is the “big” Porsche Club event of the year: our annual national convention. Parade has a potpourri of activities and club members from all across North America come together for this once a year extravaganza to participate in a week of competitive events, to socialize and enjoy their cars, with seminars and tours adding to the event’s variety. For many club members, Parade is their big vacation for the year. It provides them with an opportunity to see new parts of the country as well as to visit with PCA friends that they only see once a year, at Parade!

After enjoying a cup of coffee, it was the perfect day for a drive. We cruised down Westside Road to Vernon and had a lovely lunch at Predator Ridge Golf Course. Many members from Kamloops joined in.

Fun packed weekend at SunPeaks with a 70s theme party on the deck, drive to Wells Gray Park with lunch at the Painted Turtle in Clearwater and banquet. Joint region event with Canada West.

25 Porsches exhibited at the annual car show in Kelowna. It was for fun and to celebrate 60 years of PCA, 50 years of the 911 and 25 years of BCIR!

Lots of laughs at the Kamloops tour. After a drive through some twisty roads, one of our BCIR members hosted a BBQ at their house. The next morning we enjoyed brunch at the South Thompson Inn followed by a tasting at the new Monte Creek Ranch Winery.
