September 15 – Kamloops Cars and Coffee, Fill a Frunk
10-11 am + Drive

BCIR likes to give back and help local food banks. On the Sunday after Cars and Coffee, we will be filling our “Frunks” (front trunks) with food and cash donations for the Kamloops Food Bank.
Items such as canned vegetables, meats and soups, peanut butter, rice, tuna, baby basics, pasta and sauce, peanut butter, granola bars etc. When the Food Banks receive a cash donation, every $1 has the buying power of $3. Cheques can be made out to: Kamloops Food Bank. You can also donate online:

COME ONE AND ALL.  We are headed to the end of another driving season and this should be a good one. Beverley and I drove it this past Sunday. It was great. New pavement.
So meet at Mason’s Kitchen and Bar, SunRivers for coffee and cookies at 10 am September 15th.

Also this is our opportunity to donate to the local Food Bank in Kamloops so please bring non-perishable food donation that will be collected at Mason’s.
Depart at 11 am with a drive up through Barnhartvale to Hwy 97 S then onto the Salmon River Road between Falkland and Vernon. The Salmon River Road takes us to Maw Road and THE FARMSTRONG CIDER COMPANY. This is a very unique eatery with great food and ciders.
BRING A WARM COAT OR SWEATER as the restaurant is in an old barn that has no interior walls or heat.
Our last drive of the season will likely be October 20th weather permitting .

If any of you from the Okanagan region want to come, we could all meet up at the Falkland Pub parking lot or Salmon Valley Road Hwy 97 intersection.

Thank you to those that have confirmed for Sunday and to the rest of you that intend to come, please let me know.

As Winston Churchill said:
“We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give”

Monthly Cars and Coffee

Each month BCIR hosts Cars and Coffee throughout our driving season.
Kelowna is 8-10 am at City Park in Kelowna
Kamloops is 10-12 pm at Mason’s Kitchen and Bar
at SunRivers in Kamloops

It is an informal get together to talk about Porsches or just chat with other members. Some months have scheduled drives afterward.

Best part… the coffee is free!
